‘Going green’ is important to us all and seniors are often even more concerned to leave behind a healthy earth for their grandchildren. Yesterday, I caught this AAHSA Listserv post about “Gray is Green” come through and thought it was perfect to share with you. Dear Facilities Management Listserv members:
Recently, a group called Gray is Green http://www.grayisgreen.org published a new edition of their booklet, Handbook on Conservation for Retirement Communities. Residents at the Whitney Center in Hamden, CT created the handbook. It features useful information for residents, staff and facility staff who are interested in applying green practices in their communities. Please check out the website and the handbook.
